![]() My favorite place to perform in Sacramento is definitely the Liaison Lounge! It’s a place where the hit show “Bad Bitches and Beyond” Hosted by C-Yah Envy is put on. “The Sacramento community influenced me to open myself up to a lot more things.” ![]() It’s all about artists building up and receiving inspiration from other artists. ![]() There’s something about the last two or three years that bred this wealth of creativity, and to see so many new drag babies crushing it right out of the gate inspires me to learn and evolve my own drag. My partner and I co-host a show on Monday nights that caters to showcasing new and rising talent within the community. If it’s late and I just got out of the gig, I’m loading up on nachos at La Garnacha. If I have the day off, I’m at The Rind with a bowl of Not Your Mom’s Mac and a glass of Rose Lemonade. The drag in Sacramento is blowing up and diversifying! There are so many local businesses providing spaces for rising talent, and the new wave of kings, queens and in-betweens are absolutely crushing it! It’s a nice walk, I can kill hours in the California State Railroad Museum, and the view of the river is very calming. I love to hit up Old Sacramento whenever I need to clear my head. But my home bar is Badlands off K Street. I love working bingo at Flatstick Pub in the DoCo, and I just wrapped up judging an incredible drag competition at Two Rivers Cider. I’ve had the insanely cool opportunity to work all over downtown. “It’s all about artists building up and receiving inspiration from other artists.” I’ve expanded my repertoire greatly since becoming a part of Sacramento’s scene and I’m a lot more confident in what I do and that means more bookings for me and a better show for my audiences! Before moving to the area I was lucky to do one or two shows a month but with so many shows happening here, I had to step it up and start producing new numbers, new outfits, and just keep up with all the other talented artists we have. I’m so grateful for how the local community has pushed me to be a better artist. How has the Sacramento community influenced or shaped your artistry? ![]() A friend and I ate an early dinner at the rooftop bar and I had their Vegan Tweeter, which was a vegan burger with dairy free cheese! Usually my favorite bar is the one that gives me drink tickets and a check … but if I’m just out enjoying some company aside from drag, I’d have to say I recently checked out Darling Aviary and kinda fell in love. You’re at your favorite local bar or restaurant. All these years later, it’s great to see so many fresh new faces also welcomed with that same energy. I was able to hit the ground running, and everyone made me feel right at home in the bars and clubs. I’ve lived in the area for almost 4 years, and when I moved here, I had never felt so welcomed in a new place. The queer community here is just so welcoming. What’s one thing you want people to know about the queer community in Sacramento? World Class Textile is my favorite place to see and feel different fabrics and that really helps me come up with fresh new looks. When I’m in the city and I’m looking for inspiration, I like to people-watch at DOCO or spend time at fabric shops. ![]() Where do you go in the city when you’re looking for inspiration? When I’m in Sacramento, you’ll mostly catch me at Badlands on a Friday or Sunday! Badlands has shows five nights a week, so there’s almost always something fun happening.
